Edwin Marcial is the founding Chief Technology Officer and a former SVP of Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) Under Edwin’s technical leadership ICE had tremendous success, growing from a six person startup to a Fortune 500 company. ICE milestones under Edwin’s tenure include a record IPO in 2005, the fastest exchange trading platform in the futures industry by 2009, and the acquisition of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) in 2013. ICE is currently one of the largest financial markets operators in the world, and is valued over 50 billion dollars. After 18 years of service, Edwin left ICE in 2014 to pursue other interests. Today, along with creating and hosting Techrides, Edwin advises and invests in early-stage companies, and provides consulting services to companies looking to create exceptional technology organizations. Edwin is also a board member for the non-profit Year Up Atlanta which helps underrepresented young adults prepare for careers in technology.
